Curtain Time Retired to stud due to a Sesimoid Fracture received on his 3rd outing.
Winning Half Brother To TAIPAN, ALI-ROYAL, SLEEPYTIME & OONAGH MACCOOL
CURTAIN TIME was trained for his brief racing career by Henry Cecil and he was a much hyped horse when making an impressive winning debut at three years in the 10 furlong Museum Stakes at Newmarket. Immediately following his sucess, in a race won previously by Commander-In-Chief for the same stable, Curtain Time was cut in price for the Epsom Derby and his trainer certainly believed that he had great potential.

After his second outing a not disheartened Cecil sent him to Goodwood in May for what was to be his final outing. This was in the Predominate Stakes, a listed race over 11 furlongs, and the colt finished a creditable fifth. This performance is objectively summed up when you consider that the four who finished in front of him that day were Asian Heights (Gr.3 Winner) , Wareed (Gr.2 Winner), Snowstorm (Gr. 2 placed) and Reduit  (Gr.1 runner up at 2 years). An injury sustained brought an end to any future racing plans. (Sesimoid Fracture)

If pedigree were the only criterion on which future stallion sucess was gauged, then it would be assured for Curtain Time. A son of Sadler's Wells, Curtain Time is a half brother to no less than three Group 1 winners. His dam Alidiva ( Broodmare of the Year winner), a stakes winner in her own right, ranks among the all time greats for her achievement in producing so many winners at the highest level. 9 runners - 9 winners including ALI-ROYAL (winner of the Sussex Stakes Gr.1) , TAIPAN ( Multiple Gr.1 winner) & SLEEPYTIME (winner of the 1,000 Guineas).OONAGH MACCOOL (Winner of $300,000 Louisville Breeders' Cup) .
Alidiva also is the dam of Sometime dam of the exciting MANYANA
Another young stallion in the immediate pedigree is GREAT DANE, a Group 2 winning son of Danehill who stands in Australia.
Curtain Times full sister  ''Winds of March'' a 2 time winner sold at auction as a broodmare in 2007
for 1.9 Million US Dollars
Curtain Time is an exceptional individual , Standing at over 16.3 hands he should be a major asset to breeders.
CURTAIN TIME is now the only living son of Alidiva standing at stud in EUROPE.
